Activities

  • Hiking

Five different mountain chains surround Sun Valley, providing a range of hiking options, from mellow to challenging trails. Some of our favorites include: Proctor Loop, Adams Gulch, and White Clouds.

  • Biking

The Wood River Trail is a scenic route that runs throughout the valley for 20+ miles. If you’re seeking more of an adventure, there are several mountain bike trails, including Bald Mountain and White Clouds.

  • Fly Fishing

The Sun Valley area offers an incredible diversity of fly fishing opportunities for everyone from the casual novice to the ambitious expert. We recommend hiring a guide through Silver Creek Outfitters.

  • Golfing

Sun Valley has some great public golf courses in the area, including Trail Creek, White Clouds, Bigwood, and Elkhorn. Most tee times will be available two weeks in advance.

  • Horseback Riding

Horses are found on nearly every trail and country road in the valley. Whether it’s a pony ride, a trail ride into the mountains, or a multi-day outfitted expedition you will find a capable group of guides to let you ride off into the sunset.

Whether you are new to target shooting or experienced, discover what a calm mind, a steady hand and a good eye can offer at the Sun Valley Gun Club.
