Getting to Sun Valley
Most folks will need to fly into town for the weekend. The Friedman Memorial Airport (SUN) in Hailey, Idaho is the closest airport to both Ketchum and Sun Valley.
With direct flights in the summer time from: Chicago (ORD), Denver (DEN), Salt Lake City (SLC), Los Angeles (LAX), San Francisco (SFO), and Seattle (SEA).
SUN is 12.5 miles south of The Limelight Hotel in Ketchum.
The surrounding areas of Warm Springs Canyon, River Run, Hailey, and Bellevue make up the Wood River Valley.
You’ll often hear folks refer to the entire valley area as Sun Valley, but the original resort village actually shares their city limits with the historic mining town of Ketchum.
Shuttle services are available for transportation from the airport to guest lodging, please see below for details. Furthermore, there are rental car services and taxis available.
Alternatively, the Boise Airport (BOI) is another great option for folks flying into the area for the weekend. With nonstop flights from 29 destinations, the Boise Airport is just a 2.5 hour (beautiful) drive from Sun Valley.
